Jenner Redwine is a working girl who lives paycheck to paycheck. A last minute ticket purchase has her win the MEGABUCKS LOTTERY soon her recently dumpboyfriend wants "his share" and HER DEADBEAT dad rips her out off to the tune of $25,000 so she finds money does not buy her happiness. 7 years later Jenner is headed to a Charity "LOVEBOAT CRUISE" WHICH becomes the Titanic~ her best friend is kidnapped to blackmail her into helping CAEL (pronounded Kale) Traylor a survillance expert and his team who are HOT on the trail of a Flash Drive. Jenner has the room next to BILLIONAIRE Frank Larkin one of Howards classic NUTS who has a brain tumor and has decided he is NOT dying alone. Cael and his blackmail along with a pair of HANDCUFFS forces Jenner to "cooperate" because she cannot escape she decides she GET 'even' with Cael and drive him CRAZY~ this is where the fun begins when Jenner "gets even" and because LINDA HOWARD HAS THOSE GREAT FEISTY HEROINES~ Howard has some of the BEST nuts Larkin is no exception. CAEL not only must find out what Larkins is really up too but how to stop him. The plot keeps us glued and this one has some GREAT secondary characters. Cael is one of her most "vague" heros to date~BUT Cael and Jenner will have you laughing out loud at their banter~ Jenner will remind you a little of Blair Mallory.I GIVE IT AN 8 OUT OF 10 FOR HOT SPICEY ROMANCE, great plot and excellent secondary characters who are just too good to not be back in future books~ is my guess.

This is romantic suspense, but there is not that much suspense. The pleasure comes from two tough individuals butting heads with snarky dialog and sexual sizzle. The plot is simple and there is no need to worry about spoilers, because the bad guy, his goal and his reason for it are clear practically from the beginning. Cael Traylor is a super-hero: he's gorgeous, speaks lots of languages (including "Southern"), has limitless martial skills, and was trained by no less than Mossad. Nowadays, he...

Cael Traylor is a super-hero: he's gorgeous, speaks lots of languages (including "Southern"), has limitless martial skills, and was trained by no less than Mossad. Nowadays, he and his team - all of whom are unusually good-looking, smart, well-heeled and fun to be around - take assignments in surveillance. Jenner Redwine is a former blue-collar worker who won one of the biggest lotteries anywhere and is now rich enough to buy a small country, but she hasn't found a place where she seems to fit. Jenner gets in Cael's way, literally - his team was supposed to be in her stateroom on a cruise, but the paranoid bad guy arranges a swap at the last minute. Cael solves this in true Romanceland style: her friend is kidnapped onshore, and Cael kidnaps her on the cruise. She must pretend to be in love, giving him an excuse to be in her stateroom, and there are endless situations that develop, including the feisty heroine handcuffed to the muscular hero all night. Jenner is smart enough to figure out most of what is going on, so once again, suspense, fear and threats don't last long. The fun - while it lasts - is all about the cruise, Cael's efforts to control the uncontrollable Jenner. I really enjoy this book because of the interplay of the hero and heroine; everything else is just a backdrop for this.
